Monthly Giving

The COVID-19 pandemic has been a huge challenge for all of us. The school urgently had to find innovative ways to continue its operations and offer its classes online as all classes were cancelled for over three months. Our annual tuition revenue dropped from $1,015,542 in 2018-2019 to $639,210 in 2019-2020 as our enrolment sharply decreased by 1,554 registrations.

OSA’s motto is Teaching Art to Everyone and our primary goal is to provide art education to the Ottawa community. This goal is enhanced by our bursary program that supplements tuition costs for students who are unable to afford the full cost of a course. Many of these students are children or youth from low-income families, but each year a growing number of adults supported by the Ontario Disability Support Pension also receive assistance through this program.

“…I am very grateful to the Ottawa School of Art for granting my daughter the bursaries over the years that allowed her to study art under such caring and skilled instructors. The art program has become an integral part of my daughter’s life:  it helped her find meaning, restored her confidence and enabled her to make friends.”

This important program would not be possible without your generous support. In these difficult times, we are seeking your assistance to ensure that OSA is able to continue to offer creative opportunities to the underprivileged members of our community. Please consider making a monthly donation of $25, $50, or $100 or any amount you can. One-time donations are also very much appreciated. If you would like to dedicate your donation to someone or towards specific OSA programming, please indicate so in the notes section at the top as you proceed through to PayPal processing.

The Ottawa School of Art has been Ottawa’s premier visual arts institution since 1879. Today, the OSA is still the best place to study the visual arts in the city. Students, instructors, volunteers and supporters like you help to ensure that creativity has a place to grow. We hope you will continue to think about the Ottawa School of Art when you are looking for a worthwhile cause to support. As a registered charitable organization, OSA relies on and deeply appreciates the financial support of its donors.

If you have any questions or would like any additional information about programs, upcoming events, or sponsorship do not hesitate to give us a call. Thank you for helping us support our programs and the broader community here at OSA!

Sincerely,

Jeff Stellick
