Creative Wire Jewelry: Intro, Mon, 6 - 9 pm
Register Want to get creative and learn the basic wire techniques needed to create your own beautiful wire jewelry? You will learn skills and techniques, such as twisting and coiling wire, adding beads to your designs, hammering your wire and finishing techniques. You will create several unique pieces of jewelry in the class including earrings, bracelets, necklaces, and rings. Materials and the use of tools will be provided!

Letterpress Workshop! (Valentine's Day Edition): Intro:, Sat, 9am - 4pm
Register Everyone likes romantic cards, and even more if they are handmade!
This six hour workshop is an introduction to letterpress, with Saint Valentine as the main topic. In this class you will learn basic typesetting and how to operate a Vandercook press.

Most materials will be provided, but you will need to bring your paper ~ don't be conservative, bring some pink or red paper! This workshop is perfect for graphic design students, craft people and lovers! No experience is required.
The print studio at the Ottawa School of Art is the only public space where you can experience working with a Vandercook press!

Jewelry Making I: Intro : Sat and Sun, 9am - 4 pm
Register Love jewelry? By learning these basic jewelry methods you will make our own, no experience necessary! The participants will learn basic techniques in sawing, filing, non-acid etching, soldering, and finishing. Participants will create 2-3 Stacked Silver Rings and an Etched Copper Cuff Bracelet, using their own designs and applying the learned techniques.

Participants will complete TWO projects from start to finish:

*Silver Stacking Rings
*Non-acid Etched Copper Cuff Bracelet

Participants will create a forged wire bracelet and reversible hollow silver pendant, using their own designs and applying the learned techniques.

Decorative Ceramic Tiles: Intro: Sat, 1 - 4 pm
Register This course will show you the amazing world of clay, where you will create your own unique ceramic tiles in a fun and relaxing environment. Learn how to make slabs and decorate them with slip and underglaze painting. If you have a specific design idea, bring your designs or drawings on 8"x8" paper so that you can transfer them to bisque tiles or wet slabs.
