Fantastic Food: Clay/Collage Emphasis, Ages 4 - 5: Sat 10 - 12
Register Don’t worry parents, your children will not come home stained in mustard and tomato sauce. In this course kids will be exploring some of their favorite and not so favorite foods. Using a variety of materials for collage, and building modeling skills in clay will be the emphasis. We will look at artists from history whose work was inspired by food: Paul Cezanne, Giuseppe Arcimboldo and Andy Warhol. If your mouth is watering; this is the course for you!

Register These hands on art courses are designed to assist children, in a positive and fun environment to develop their artistic expression over 3 separate sessions.
In each term children will explore various materials such as clay, ink, charcoal and paint. They will learn to expand on their skills in specific artistic media. During each term we will look for inspiration, both indoors and outdoors from modern masters such as Picasso, Mondrian, Kandinsky, Fafard, Klimpt, Picasso and many others. 
A visit to the National Art gallery and 1 session with the model are included.

Creatures, Imagined and Real: Collage/Clay Emphasis, Ages 6 - 7: Sat 1:30 - 3:30 pm
Register Students will use collage techniques to make imagined creatures with multiple body parts. We will collage a nine headed serpent, (hydra) or a 3 headed dog (Cerberus), using a variety of papers. Students will use clay to model a real creature, such as a dinosaur or a sea monster. Then we will put the creature in a landscape of the imagination with paint and collage.

Register Using various drawing materials such as charcoal, pencils, conté, and oil pastels, students will be inspired by artists from cities of Paris, Rome, Amsterdam. (Degas, Monet, Van Gogh). They will study the architecture of England, Scotland, Ireland including new and ancient castles and bridges. Students will use various sculptural techniques to build 3-dimensional architecture.

These courses are designed for students at all skill levels who want to draw seriously. Students will learn and practice drawing techniques and discover cartooning and animated cartoon secrets. Students will apply their creativity to the production of single panel gags, caricatures, a class effort stop-motion animated cartoons and comic pages.
Each season includes lessons on drawing hands (realistic and cartoon-style), the human figure and animal characters.

Ces cours sont accessibles aux élèves de tous les niveaux d’habileté qui veulent dessiner de façon sérieuse. Les élèves apprendront et pratiqueront les techniques du dessin et ils découvriront les secrets de la BD et du dessin animé. Les élèves feront preuve de créativité en réalisant des projets de vignettes à farces, caricatures, un dessin animé avec toute la classe et des planches de BD.
Chaque saison il y aura des leçons sur comment dessiner les mains (réalistes et caricatures), la figure humaine et les animaux.

Register Students will create indoor class projects in variety materials while sharpening their observation skills.
Each class will be set up with either a model or still life and students will built and expand on existing painting and drawings skills. 
Students will use charcoal, pastels, acrylics and oils, being inspired by the art and philosophy of iconic modern artists such as Picasso, O’Keeffe, Van Gogh, Chagall, and Matisse.

Register Improve your artistic skills and increase your knowledge of art history by looking at the masters.
