We will experiment with many techniques, materials, and styles as we create a 3D lion, a cat collage, a silly bird marionette, an African Savannah landscape painting, and more. This amazingly wild camp is all about imagination!

Children will learn essential techniques in a variety of mediums, including drawing, painting, papier-mâché, and more, all while growing their confidence and pursuing self-expression.

A great summer getaway with your paint box, this course is for playing with colour, learning colour mixing, applying new colour relationships in chromatically charged small paintings expressing your inspiration from music, travel, food, mood, symbolic, and ancient uses of colour. Daily projects, “colour puzzlers”, will be provided to playfully, creatively, and broadly interpret in your artist’s choice of medium. Projects will deepen the intent of your colour work. Register At the onset of this 4-day mokuhanga workshop, participants will make a two-color print from prepared blocks using; water-based pigments, kento registration, and pressing with a baren – all hallmarks of this Japanese woodblock printmaking process date back to the 17th century. Register Suitable for all levels of artistic skills, this course analyzes the human form by drawing from medieval techniques of crosshatching found in works of such masters as Da Vinci, Durer, Holbein, Raphael, and Rembrandt. Embracing the challenge of working from the live nude model via a series of exercises and demonstrations, the course focuses on the rib cage, pelvis and thigh, knee and lower leg, foot, shoulder girdle, arm, hand, neck and head.
