Join us February 10 – 11, 2018 as veteran National Geographer photographer Catherine Karnow shows us her unique way of shooting travel assignments.
In this 1.5-day workshop on location and in class, you will learn how to create dynamic compositions, build story-telling images, hone your vision, see the nuances of natural light, and capture the moment. You will be guided in your approach to people photography to make gentle and emotional portraits.
We will spend time capturing the magic of Winterlude events, such as the Ice Dragon Boat Festival and skating on the Rideau Canal, ice carving at Confederation Park, and indoor/outdoor life in the Byward Market and Rideau St. neighborhoods (activities weather-dependent).
This workshop is open to all levels of photographers and will be limited to 10 people. DSLR cameras are required (not film cameras or smart-phones).
