Zach Poff + N.B. Aldrich – Witnesses: Trikaya

The OSA is thrilled to announce artists Zach Poff + N.B. Aldrich who will be installing a new large-scale work: Witnesses: Trikaya, from October 15 to November 22, 2015 at the Ottawa School of Art Gallery on the main floor of the Downtown Campus, Byward Market. The reception takes place on Thursday, October 15, from 5pm to 8pm. All welcome!
Witnesses: Trikaya will be the latest in a series of works where a group of electronic Buddhist chant-boxes create a spontaneous sound composition in response to television images.
Three large monitors in a triangular formation with their images facing out will play a selection of documentaries about Tibetan history and culture. The video will be displayed on all three monitors simultaneously, so the audience can follow the video as they circumnavigate the space. Viewers are encouraged to quietly enter the space and take in both sight and sound of Witnesses: Trikaya.
