Statement
This group of work explores natural elements, with my observations of life and nature. I don’t have to look farther, than the nature in my own city for inspiration. I snapped a few photographs of a Smallmouth Bass caught in the Rideau River, and then it was thrown back. Then it later became immortalized as a fish piece
of art.
Ottawa, and the surrounding local geography and wildlife have natural beauty. Nature is all around us, in our gardens and our parks, and we can all benefit and be involved in its protection.
Biography
For more than 18 years I had a successful career as a development consultant for non-profit organizations; WWF, Pollution Probe, UNICEF, Learning Disabilities Association of Canada (LDAC) and others. Creative imagery, marketing and advertising became part of my campaigns. I am now returning to my art. Enrolled in the three year Fine Art diploma program at the Ottawa School of Art, I am becoming more confident as an artist, pursuing painting, and many other mediums.
