(Ottawa, ON) April 11, 2022 – The Ottawa School of Art | Lee Matasi Gallery will present artworks by the late Kathleen McCrea, and celebrate her life in a commemorative exhibition from April 20 to May 4, 2022. The Lee Matasi Gallery is located on the main floor at 35 George Street in the ByWard Market.
An alumnus of the Ottawa School of Art, (OSA), Kathleen Marguerite McCrea completed her three years of study and graduated from the OSA Fine Art Diploma program in 2013. In 2012 she received the Lee Matasi Memorial Scholarship, awarded at OSA in recognition of artistic achievement and the expression of life through the visual arts. Over the years, Kathleen continued to explore and experiment with her art in various mediums and was involved with several artist run centres. Join us in commemorating Kathleen Marguerite McCrea in this exhibition of her work. Reception: 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday April 21

(Ottawa, ON) 11 avril 2022 – L’École d’art d’Ottawa | Galerie Lee Matasi présentera les œuvres de feu Kathleen McCrea et lui rendra hommage dans une exposition commémorative du 20 avril au 4 mai 2022. La galerie Lee Matasi est située à l’étage principal au 35 rue George dans le marché By.
Ancienne étudiante de l’École d’art d’Ottawa (ÉAO), Kathleen Marguerite McCrea a terminé avec succès ses trois années d’études dans le programme du diplôme en beaux-arts en 2013. En 2012, elle s’est vu décerner la bourse d’études commémorative Lee Matasi, attribuée par l’ÉAO en reconnaissance de ses accomplissements artistiques et de l’expression de la vie à travers les arts visuels. Au fil des années, Kathleen a continué à explorer et expérimenter en arts avec une variété de médiums. Elle s’est aussi impliquée au sein de plusieurs centres d’artistes autogérés. Joignez-vous à nous pour commémorer Kathleen Marguerite McCrea par le biais de cette exposition portant sur son travail.
