Biography
Flowers represent happiness; their beauty energizes and comforts me@.
With rich, vibrant colours and a free and open style, Janick=s paintings explore the wonders of nature, particularly the beauty of flowers.
She was born and raised in Laval, Quebec, started oil painting at age 9 and by age 14 was exhibiting at the Foyer des Arts gallery in Montreal=s downtown Eaton store. In 1986, she switched from oil painting to watercolours and subsequently studied with a number of well-known watercolour artists.
Janick has exhibited in other galleries in Quebec, Ontario and New Mexico. She has participated enthusiastically for a number of years in Art in the Park events in Ottawa and Kingston, Ontario and various fund-raising silent auctions.
Her love of the out-of-doors is reflected in other aspects of her life. She is an avid cross-country skier, hiker, cyclist and organic gardener, as well as a professional agrologist. Janick resides in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada and can be reached at: 613-722-2194.

Avec des couleurs vibrantes et un style libre, les tableaux de Janick explorent les merveilles de la nature et tout particulièrement la beauté des fleurs.

Janick a exposé dans d=autres galeries au Québec, en Ontario et au Nouveau Mexique. Depuis plusieurs années, elle participe aussi avec enthousiasme à différents événements estivaux comme les >Arts dans le Parc= à Ottawa et Kingston en Ontario et plusieurs enchères silencieuses.
Son amour pour le plein air se réflète dans d=autres aspects de sa vie. Elle est avide de ski de fond, randonnée pédestre, cyclisme et jardinage biologique. Elle est aussi agronome. Janick réside à Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, Tél. 613-722-2194.

After a cold, lingering winter – it’s Spring at last! I was born in May, a time of rebirth, when flowers come back to life and brighten our days with their colours and fragrances.
This exhibit is an expression of my inward flower garden, a world where everything is possible, where colours are extra bright and where I am constantly exploring and simplifying designs to reveal the essence of flowers.
