Holiday Fundraising Art Sale
Ottawa, ON (October 29, 2018) The Ottawa School of Art Byward Market Campus is pleased to present their 34th Annual Holiday Fundraising Art Sale. The exhibit runs from November 22 to December 9, 2018, with an opening reception on November 22, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Ottawa School of Art’s Byward Market Gallery at 35 George Street, Ottawa.
Give the gift of Art! This exhibition/fundraiser features a wide range of original, unique and affordable works of art created by students, instructors and local artist. This exhibition provides an opportunity see established and up-and-coming artists in your community, as well as giving our members a chance to show and sell their work.
Your gift of art is threefold! You are not only purchasing a one-of-a-kind piece of art, you are also supporting a local artist and supporting an important cause. All funds raised at the Holidays Fundraising Art Sale go toward the Ottawa School of Art’s bursary programs, which provide “Art for Everyone”.
The bursary program provides assistants for students to take classes in both our adult and children’s program. Last year the Holiday Show helped over 76 people take classes and enjoy the high standard of art instruction provided at both our at both campuses. Thank you for your past support and hope to see you again this year.
The Ottawa School of Art offers Diploma and Certificate Programs, and a full range of community level art courses including drawing, painting, photography, new media, ceramics, sculpture, printmaking, and a wide variety of specialized short courses and workshops. Children’s and Teens’ classes range from multi-media to animation and cartooning, to sculpture and construction, pottery, drawing and painting.
