Diane Hiscox is an Ottawa artist with a background in law. She earned a BFA from the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design, and law degrees from Dalhousie University and University of Ottawa.
Diane has had solo exhibitions in Los Angeles, Ottawa, Halifax, and Fredericton, and also has a solo exhibition scheduled for 2019 in a state museum in Latvia. She has participated in group shows in Los Angeles, Halifax, Ottawa, and Toronto. A small number of private collectors (local and from as far away as Los Angeles and Spain) look forward to new editions of her work, and three public institutions: the City of Ottawa, Dalhousie University in Halifax, and Perley Hospital in Ottawa, each have her large paintings in their permanent collections.
Diane is a member of the Board of Directors of the Ottawa School of Art.
Title of Series
The series is called End of Winter
End of Winter is a visual diary of the passage of time through a three-month period, as observed through the windows of the artist’s home. They are painted “plein air.”
