ARTefacts / ARTéfacts
The Ottawa School of Art presents ARTefacts / Artéfacts, an exhibit showcasing the accomplished works of our children and teens in our Saturday and Sunday programing. Our talented young artists range from age 5 to 15 years old.
In our weekend classes students are exposed to a variety of mediums and methods that they may not have a chance to explore in the school system alone. Students get to experiment with drawing, painting, print, cartooning, collage, and sculpture, and mixing these mediums to further understand there their interactions and what effects can be achieved when creating with them. This body of work showcases the growth that occurs at the school and what can be accomplished when talented youths and disciplined teachers come together to explore our visual world.
ARTefacts / Artéfacts, will be on May 18th to Jun 3rd at the Ottawa School of Art in the Byward Market. Please come and celebrate our young artists with us. The vernissage will take place May 18th from 11:20am-2:00pm, there will be food and good friends.
