Register In this course students will develop a further understanding of painting and drawing techniques needed to create masterpieces.
Each session focuses on a specific artist or style and modern and contemporary artists, their artworks, and movements that continue to inspire us today. Students will be exploring a variety of materials like acrylics, oil pastels, watercolors pencils and clay as they create 2 and 3-dimensional artworks in a wide range of media.
Projects include drawing skills, color exploration with painting and mixed media.

Register Be it superheroes or talking animals, comics and graphic novels are an industry that is growing at an incredible pace. The experience of telling a story through images captivates the senses and ignites our imaginations. Within the pages of graphic novels, everything is possible.
In this course we dive deep into the world of comic books. Through weekly lessons, students will be given the tools they need to create their own stories using this liberating medium.
Layouts, characterization, pacing, creating believable conflict, drawing from different points of view and more will be covered to help students bring their own stories to the page as well as technical drawing exercises like anatomy, facial expressions, tone, colour, landscape, world building, animals and much more. Lessons will focus on helping each artist develop their own personal artistic style and voice, while drawing and illustrating stories that are their own.
