BYWARD MARKET GALLERY

Located in the bustling Byward Market, the Ottawa School of Art – Downtown Campus Gallery is dedicated to providing the community with the opportunity to view a wide variety of contemporary art as well as attend openings, artist talks and events. The Ottawa School of Art Gallery is non-profit and features juried local, national, and international artists as well as lectures and special events.

Submissions to both Galleries (Downtown & Orleans) are welcome only during submission time. Submissions generally begin in February and end in April. For current submission information please visit the submissions page.

ORLEANS GALLERY

Located on the Centrum Level of the Shenkman Arts Centre, the Ottawa School of Art Orleans (OSAO) Gallery is dedicated to providing the community with a wide variety of art forms. As an emerging presence on the Ottawa art scene, the gallery has featured juried local, national and international shows by contemporary artists and groups. Past exhibition included paintings, sculptures, and video installations.

Launched in 2009, in conjunction with the opening of the Shenkman Arts Centre and the Ottawa School of Art’s Orleans Campus, the OSAO Gallery features annual exhibitions by OSAO teachers, students and alumni.

The Gallery enjoys participating in the community and taking part in Cultural events held at the Shenkman Art Centre, such as Orleans Fest and Culture Days.

OFF-SITE & BOUTIQUE

The OSA has four ‘off-site partnership’ exhibit spaces available to all students, instructors, and general members of the OSA’s Byward campus as well as Orleans campus. Those four spaces include: Primecorp, Minto suites Hotel, Fritzi Gallery, and Preston Square

The Ottawa School of Art Boutique offers a wide variety of artwork ranging from oil, acrylic and watercolour paintings to jewelry and sculptures. Our Boutique is maintained on a regular basis with artwork rotating almost weekly. All of the artworks in the boutique are from Canadian Artists both locally and nationally.
