Extrospection, the observation of things external to ones own mind. In this exhibit, I explore how wildlife and animals with their presence project a feeling of strength, understanding and beauty. They exhibit common qualities with humans, such as love, compassion, gentleness, and loyalty. It is these characteristics and qualities that I intend to explore. Zygmunt Jakubek's photography focuses on visual abstraction and interplay of color and shape. His color-rich photographic creations are inspired by art of Wassily Kandinsky. He is always on a lookout for false perspective effects to create eye-fooling Escheresque images, reflections in curved surfaces to find magic in visually abstracted ordinary scenes, or projected shadows to reveal hidden dimensions.
